About us
The aim of the group is to provide an opportunity to network and share information with BDA members on prescribing support specialist issues. It will also produce consensus statements relating to appropriate use of ACBS (Advisory Committee on Borderline Substances) products, e.g. oral nutritional supplements, and create an environment to support research in this area.
The objectives of the group are as follows:
- To develop consensus statements and professional guidance for BDA members on best practice for prescribing support. Ensuring collaboration with other BDA Specialist Groups to ensure continuity of messages from the BDA, e.g. Gastroenterology Group for gluten free foods, PENG for ONS, etc.
- To facilitate sharing of information and networking among group members.
- To share knowledge of data reporting mechanisms relating to ACBS products and work towards a consistent approach in the reporting of data.
