Who is this course for?

This module is aimed at AHP's  wishing to get an essential overview of nutrition in mental health, learning disabilities and eating disorders to support service user needs. 

What will I learn?

By the end of this course you will be able to:

  • Explain the impact of nutritional issues concerned with those affected by mental health disorders, learning disabilities and eating disorders
  • Recognise nutritional red flags and know when to refer on and signpost
  • Understand first line advice and your role in supporting service users with their nutritional needs
  • Promote the importance of nutrition and physical health within mental health, learning disabilities and eating disorder services as part of an integrated approach to recovery
