Enhanced Clinical Practitioner – Approved for delivery!

The government identified enhanced clinical practice as a priority for significant workforce growth and in being central to delivering clinical services set out in the NHS Long Term Plan. Given the varied nature of individual specialist clinical practitioner roles, an apprenticeship will ensure that the common knowledge, skills and behaviours are not only formally recognised but will also be transferable between roles and organisations.

The Enhanced Clinical Practitioner Trailblazer has announced that the apprenticeship standard for Enhanced Clinical Practitioner has been approved for delivery by the Institute for Apprenticeships & Technical Education and allocated a maximum funding of £7,000.

The Enhanced Clinical Practitioner Standard is now avilable and employers, training providers and apprentice assessment organisations can now prepare for delivery of the apprenticeship. The approved Standard and Assessment plan can be found on the Skills For Health webpage.
