Chairperson

Natasha Guildford

Natasha graduated from the University of Plymouth in 2011 and currently works as a Hepatopancreaticobiliary (HPB) Dietitian at the Churchill Hospital in Oxford. She has previously worked in Chichester (Oncology Dietitian), Southampton (HPB Dietitian and Research Dietitian), Brighton, Isle of Wight, and Belfast. She therefore has a good knowledge of the South East and links across many hospitals.

She was the Treasurer on this committee for 4 years before stepping up to the role of Chairperson in 2019. Her goal as Chair is to keep the branch up to date by using social media and webinars, to create a friendly environment for networking and sharing knowledge, and to ensure we are practicing in a sustainable and environmentally friendly way.

Secretary

Ann-Marie Jones

Ann-Marie graduated from Coventry University and started her rotational band 5 post at University Hospital Southampton in 2018 gaining experience in a variety of areas in both acute and community settings.

She now works a split post as an Adult Cystic Fibrosis and Adult Allergy Dietitian.  She joined this committee as an ordinary member early 2019 and has been Secretary since our AGM in October 2019.

Karyn Buckland

Karyn graduated from Cardiff Metropolitan university in 2019 with a first class honours degree. She took up her first band 5 rotational post at a Southampton General hospital in 2019 where she gained experience in Surgery, Cardiac and Trauma & Orthopaedics. 

She is currently working as a band 6 Dietitian in Haematology and Teenage Young adult Oncology at Southampton General hospital. Karyn joined the committee in 2019 as an ordinary member and since then has been Treasurer for the branch

Tara Hall  

Graduated in 2019 from the university of Surrey. Started in Southampton in 2019 as a Band 5 getting experience in acute and community settings. She always had an interest in paediatrics. Fortunately, she had the opportunity to move into paediatrics. She started a band 6 paediatric rotational post in 2020. She has worked in gastroenterology, diabetes and endocrinology. She is currently working in nephrology and general medicine.

Abigail Jenkinson

Abigail is in her third year of studying Nutrition and Dietetics at the University of Surrey. During her dietetic placements, she has developed particular interests in allergy and paediatric dietetics.

In her spare time, she enjoys supporting younger students by helping to raise their attainment and aspirations through mentoring and events at the University of Surrey. Abigail is the Course Representative for her academic cohort. She looks forward to applying these skills to support student engagement in the branch, where knowledge and experiences can be shared.

Laura Malone

Laura graduated from the University of Ulster in 2016. She has experience across a variety of specialities including Cystic Fibrosis, Gastroenterology and ICU. She currently holds a post in Southampton as a Primary Care Network Dietitian. Laura joined the committee in 2021 as an ordinary member.
